Muddled Strawberry Champagne

·

This special drink is so good and so easy! I used regular Prosecco, but sparkling rose would also work well. I tested both, and both tasted wonderful.

I had a lot of fun shooting this recipe. I wanted a drippy look, so ultimately there was Prosecco all over the floor! But once I got the shots, I enjoyed every last drop of reward.

This recipe couldn’t be simpler to make. You just cut the strawberries into small pieces and add them to a bowl. Squeeze the lemon juice on the berries, and muddle them until very soft. I used my blender tamper for this, though certainly if you have a proper muddler, use that! Then add the berry mixture to a flute, and top with Prosecco or champagne! Perfect for Valentine’s Day, or any given Sunday. Plus the strawberries stay well in the flute, so you can add more champagne—a second glass or more—and maintain the flavor.

The necessary tools for this recipe, then, are simply a bowl and a muddler. Enjoy, and leave a comment below if you try it!
