Simple Blueberry, Banana, Apple and Almond Smoothie

·

The cloudy morning today put me in the mood for a smoothie with calming flavors, nothing too sweet or acidic. And this was perfect. Plus you add swirls of almond butter at the bottom and top of the glass—a calming activity itself.

I use apple juice as the liquid base for a couple reasons: I prefer juice to nut milk, and the almond butter lends enough nutty flavor for me. Do you like juice as the base of your smoothies?

Like most smoothies, this recipe is simple to make. All you need are a blender and tamper. Enjoy, and leave a comment below if you try it!
