Pomegranate, Black Cherry and Apple Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie is sinfully delicious. Cherry and pomegranate go so super well together, and, even when blended, the pomegranates still add a lovely texture to the smoothie. Apple juice is the base for sweetness and to balance the slightly tart black cherries. Just lovely. And it doesn’t need any added sweetener. If you prefer almond milk to apple juice, make it yours!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup fresh apple juice
  • 2 cups frozen pomegranate arils, plus more for topping
  • 2 cups frozen black cherries
  • Chopped dried figs
  • Chopped fresh mint

Instructions

Step 1

Add smoothie ingredients to a high-speed blender, juice first. Use a tamper to mix. It will take time, but it’s worth it! Serve immediately with toppings to your liking. I recommend chopped mint, more arils and dried figs. Smoothies are best consumed immediately to retain nutrients.
